In a childhood a computer club was a lovely and expensive place to be, because it was the only place where we could work and play with expensive computers we couldn't afford as children.
I still love using public computers, but I would say some word about their quality of service:
- I don't like the idea for both: restaurants and Internet clubs or any other retail public places not investing into sockets or prohibiting access to them. For example in a computer club you could put at least 1 socket next to each computer, so that the one who pays for computer time also could use this socket for connecting laptop or phone for charging - it is cheap measure and would bring a lot more convenience for customer. I'm talking about it as a customer who probably came to Internet club only because there was no opportunity to access office conveniences, and one of such convenience is socket! Why the hell they block people from the opportunity of using energy as part of computer time included?
- Many computer clubs are oriented for children visitors, they even have a discount for the young ages. Why entrepreneurs ever have idea to encourage major group of customers to come often? I think more reasonable would be a discount for people who uses computer for work, not for playing games and yelling all day long. They already have too much students at their place, why do they don't do anything to improve quantity of adult customers by encouraging them with their discounts or at least by making time cost equal for everybody?
