Its better to install the vicidial, and even though you've got your IP address by DHCP, its anyway better doing this IP address static, but don't switch the IP, use the one IP address to which vicidial is got used to - this is the most time-efficient solution, and I hope next time this post will appear in search results among those which I've posted on Google Plus to remind myself about the whole IP situation during the vicidial setup so that next time you wouldn't had to spend your 2 hours for fixing such a simple prtoblem.
