Post-nuclear world with Bitcoin

As long as people exist even in nuclear war, there will be at least 1 or 2 computers alive (not talking about existing underground data-centers backed by solar or maybe atomic energy). Of course nobody can predict what's technology will remain and how many of us will have access to that technology.

On the other hand I would believe in a bright future - where at least some piece of earth with as much people as possible could survive after WW3. That could be hundreds of thousands people and that could be still a 1 billion of them. And I'm pretty sure that if that much people survived, then at least there will be more survived computers than people (since computers are made from metal and therefore resistant to radiation).

But even if it will happen that we will find only 1 copy of full blockchain (which could be sized from 1 to 100 terrabytes at that point), then Bitcoin is survived the nuclear war. And you can store those 1 copy of full blockchain even in space - if you don't trust hard drives (since they are get spoiled sometimes), you can store it on few BluRay or DVD disks.

Andrea Antonopoulous once said - that Bitcoin is like virus, because you have to destroy every single computer to destroy it completely. Decentralization is an inevitable turn in the technological history - cars for movement, computers for a data, blockchain is for money.

I actually repaired a computer (it couldn't be replaced) at a sawmill that was struck by lightning. Parts of the board were burnt, but about 80% of the chips survived. Boards that aren't connected to anything will probably survive the worst possible EMP pulse. And you can remove bad chips from one board and replace with good chips from a different one.
Also the blockchain is mainly stored on hard drives. These are immune to most EMP pulses due to the large amount of metal surrounding the platter. The drives are surrounded by a metal computer case. Many of these computers are in metal buildings. I just can't imagine an EMP pulse harming them. Only one copy of the blockchain has to survive to restart Bitcoin.
