Love as the reason for making resources out of thin air

Love as last resource - its when you're ready to give up your last resources to sustain that love. It is totally irrational, because spending those last resources is like using blood from your veins to feed someone you love, when there's nothing to eat. So if you'll ask - should you invest your last money, last time or last something for your family. Moral standpoint says that you should. But rationally you better use those resources for your own selfish needs even if that will mean remaining alone. Truth: Emotions themself isn't a guarantee for sustaining love, there is also such assets as time and money.
